A.C.E.S. SOFTWARE LIBRARY
--- UPDATE ---
=======================================
By Oscar Kraehenbuehl, Librarian
A. NEW CATALOG DISK
-------------------
The two-disk catalog that in the past
has listed all the software in the
club's library, has been replaced by a
single catalog disk. This new version
provides a better overall description
of each disk, but not necessarily a
listing of each program on that disk.
This is essentially an improved version
of the summary that appeared on Side 4
of the former catalog disks. Experience
has indicated that the previous catalog
format was too complicated or
cumbersome and that only a few members
were using the details it offered. The
revised Catalog will be given to new
members and can be obtained by others
for $0.50 from your Chapter Library
Monitor. Future updates can be obtained
by swapping an earlier issued disk.
The new catalog disk will also contain:
- A list of recent additions to the
library
- Software ordering information
- Catalogs or listings of software
available from other sources.
(Contributions to this section will
be gratefully accepted from anyone.)

C. COMMENTS
---------
Chapter Library Monitors are supposed
to provide information about software
in the club library, Disks-of-the-Month
at monthly chapter meetings and take
orders for all library software. If
your chapter doesn't have a Library
Monitor, how about letting your
Director know if you would be willing
to serve. You will be helping your
Chapter and will have access to the
library and the latest information.
Contributions of new public domain,
Shareware and Freeware programs are
always needed and welcome. There has
been very little participation or use
of our library in recent years, but no
suggestions for change. Our library
will continue to offer a good selection
of things that are instructive, fun and
inexpensive. I hope more folks will see
this as a good opportunity......
